Cookies.
This site doesn’t set any cookies of its own, and nothing on it tracks you. The only cookie you might get comes from Cloudflare, which hosts the site, and only to keep it secure.
Cloudflare’s security cookie
When Cloudflare’s bot protection can’t tell whether a visit comes from a person, it asks your browser to pass a quick check. This cookie remembers that you passed, so you aren’t checked again on every page.
- Name
- cf_clearance
- Set by
- Cloudflare, only if you’re asked to pass a check
- Purpose
- Security: telling people from bots. It isn’t used to identify or follow you.
- Kept for
- As long as the check lasts, 30 minutes by default

What the game remembers
The game keeps your best score, the easter eggs you’ve found and the initials you last put on the leaderboard in your browser’s local storage, so they’re still there next time you play. They never leave your device. You can clear them here, or by clearing your browser’s data for this site.
The leaderboard
If a run makes the game’s leaderboard and you save it, Cloudflare stores your three initials, trees and distance for everyone to see. Nothing else about you is kept. Saving a score first asks Cloudflare Turnstile to check you’re a person, not a bot. It’s only loaded when you save a score.
Analytics
I count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and doesn’t fingerprint you.
